Waldorf West Library

Charles County is trying more and more Green initiatives in the community. One of the current projects in Waldorf is the new Waldorf West Library. This Library is not like most, this will be a state-of-the-art community learning center, integrating modern technology to serve the community now and into the future. The library is currently being designed to be certified as a Green building through the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Certification. The final design for the new Library should be complete in the Fall of 2010. This project, like many others, will serve as a learning tool to teach the community about the benefits of Green living.
